These earbuds are very good, and they deliver the kind of sound quality you would expect from Sennheiser, especially when you consider that they are affordable earbuds. They come with a few types of ear fittings, and they are truly in-ear earbuds that brace themselves in your ear using a rubber (or rubber-like) bushing. By bracing against another part of your ear, they stay snug and don’t move around at all while you work out, run, jog, or do any other activity where a regular earbud might fall out.
If you run outdoors often, they don’t interfere with your hat/sunglasses like the PMX-70 do. They also fit nicely in your pocket and you can easily pop an earbud out to talk to your running buddy.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Sennheiser MX85:
I just purchased these a few weeks ago in preparation for a half marathon. I was able to use them for a couple weeks in training, so I had time to play with the three different size ear fittings and found the one that worked best. Even after an hour and a half of running, I did not have to adjust them or move them around… there was no ear soreness or bruising (some past earphones did this). I recommend this product. (JCK)

Don’t let the easily-affordable price fool you. These headphones are exceptionally well-designed, and built with good-quality parts. These headphones NEVER feel like they’ll fall off. Sound is crisp and LOUD. Standard 3.5mm mic plug. Over the years I’ve owned at least 3 of these guys. One, I lost. The other is about 3 years old, and my latest was a Christmas present from my younger brother (Brian N.)

The Sennheiser PMX80 Eco is part of a series of sport headphones from Sennheiser that is packaged in bio-degradable materials to minimize the carbon footprint of the user. This marathon and gym favorite uses a verticle transducer system on a neckband that floats to keep the headphones in place during a strenuous workout. A single sided cable can eliminate cable tangles while the supplied clothing clip keeps the cable secure.
They are cold-weather tested for use indoors or out. Built-tough with a 2 year warranty.
If you are interested in sport headphones, you may be also interested in exercise clothing that facilitates wearing them and I recommend the Scottevest Tshirts which have a zippered shoulder pocket that can hold your iPod and enable you to keep the headphones cord short so that it doesn’t get caught by any arm movements. These two items in combination will boost your enjoyment considerably.

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Sennheiser PMX80:
I soon found out that the material the headphones were made out of could actually be bent and keep the new shape. It takes about 15 minutes to adjust it perfectly (obviously, do it carefully with your hands and not a plyer), but after that, it fits perfectly and the sound quality is amazing. (Quang)

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Philips SHS8000:
When I first got them, my immediate reaction was, “Oh no, these sound awful.” But a friend of mine promptly told me the correct way to use them. He said, “Reach over the top of your head with your right hand, grab hold of your left ear, pull it up and stuff the headphone in, then repeat for the other ear.” If you can create a good seal in your ear canal using that method, these headphones produce lush sound while simultaneously blocking outside noise. I’d go so far as to say that the Philips SHS8000 are good noise-blockers even if you’re not listening to anything. (J. R. Norton)

Here’s what one of the owners had to say about the Sennheiser CX380:
Besides living up to the product description, these are great headphones for the price! Good highs and midrange, and slightly more bass-heavy than my other favorite earphones (Altec Lansing UHP 326 Backbeats) at a comparable price. Depending on the type and quality of the music, these headphones should suit most, especially active wearers where comfort and fit are priorities. I have worn these for hours at a time with no discomfort whatsoever and these earphones stay cool in the ears. (M. Menden)
